1. Nature of Our Service

PianoLessonSingapore.com is a piano lesson matching and coordination service based in Singapore. We connect parents, students, and adult learners (“Clients”) with freelance piano teachers (“Teachers”).

We act solely as a coordinator and do not employ the teachers. We do not control or supervise their teaching methods, lesson content, materials, or schedules.

2. Free Matching for Parents & Students

Our matching service is free for parents, students, and adult learners.

All lesson fees are agreed directly between the client and the teacher, and payments are made directly to the teacher.

3. Teacher Recommendations

We recommend piano teachers based on the information provided by the client, including:

  • Student’s age and current piano level

  • Learning goals (e.g. beginner, exam preparation, hobby)

  • Lesson location (home, online, or studio)

  • Preferred schedule and availability

  • Budget and fee expectations

  • Any special requirements or preferences

The final decision to engage a teacher rests with the client.

While we strive to recommend suitable teachers, we do not guarantee:

  • Specific exam results or certifications

  • Grade progression or skill improvement

  • That a teacher will always be a perfect match

4. Lesson Confirmation & Cancellations

Once a teacher is confirmed and a lesson is scheduled, the first lesson is considered an official paid lesson, unless otherwise agreed.

For postponements or cancellations, clients should inform the teacher at least 24 hours in advance to avoid inconvenience or disputes.

Cancellation policies beyond this are subject to the agreement between the client and the teacher.

5. Commission (For Teachers)

PianoLessonSingapore.com earns a commission from teachers, not from parents or students.

Unless otherwise stated, commission is typically deducted from the first 2 lessons’ fees or an agreed equivalent amount.

Teachers agree not to:

  • Skip, delay, or cancel lessons to avoid commission

  • Request advance payment from clients before commission is settled

  • Withdraw unreasonably after accepting an assignment

Teachers who breach these terms may be removed or blacklisted from future assignments.

6. Payments

All lesson fees are paid directly to the teacher, based on the agreed rate and payment schedule (e.g. per lesson, weekly, or monthly).

PianoLessonSingapore.com is not responsible for payment disputes between clients and teachers.

7. Teacher Replacement

If a client is not satisfied with a teacher, please inform us promptly. We will make reasonable efforts to arrange a replacement teacher.

Clients remain responsible for payment for all lessons already conducted.

8. Teacher Responsibilities

Teachers are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information regarding their:

  • Qualifications and certifications

  • Teaching experience

  • Piano levels and syllabi they can teach

  • Availability and lesson rates

PianoLessonSingapore.com is not liable for any false, incomplete, or misleading information provided by teachers.

9. Client Responsibilities

Parents, students, and adult learners agree to provide accurate information regarding:

  • Student’s age and current piano level

  • Learning objectives and expectations

  • Lesson location and availability

  • Budget and fee expectations

  • Any relevant learning needs or constraints

Providing incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the suitability of teacher recommendations.
