A Message from Our Founder
Hi, I’m Betty, the founder of Piano Lesson Singapore.
My journey began in 2013, when I was pregnant with my first child.
Before that, I spent over five years in customer-facing roles — listening to people, understanding their needs,
and helping them find the right solutions. When I became a mother, my priorities shifted. I wanted more time with
my child, and a career that was meaningful, flexible, and still aligned with what I was good at:
- Listening
- Understanding individual needs
- Connecting people with the right support
That was when I entered the world of piano lesson matching and coordination.
I started small, helping a few parents find suitable piano teachers for their children. Over time, I also began
working with adult learners — some returning to piano after many years, others learning for the
first time. Very quickly, I realised something important:
Both parents and adult learners don’t just need a piano teacher.
They need someone who truly listens.
Every learner is different. A child may need encouragement and patience. An adult learner may want lessons that fit
around work, family, or personal goals. Understanding these differences is what makes a good match.
Over the years, I’ve personally spoken to thousands of parents, students, and adult learners.
Through these conversations, my approach has always remained the same:
- Listen carefully
- Be sincere and understanding
- Match each learner thoughtfully
- Never rush the process
- Treat every learner with care and respect
Today, Piano Lesson Singapore has grown, but our values have not changed. Every piano teacher recommendation is made
with care. Every enquiry is taken seriously. Every learner — whether a child or an adult — truly matters.
Whether you’re a parent looking for the right piano teacher for your child, or an adult learner pursuing music for
enjoyment, confidence, or personal growth, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Thank you for trusting Piano Lesson Singapore.
I’m honoured to be part of your learning journey.
— Betty
